Police in Guyana capture main suspect in deadly bomb blast

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) Tuesday said they had arrested the main suspect in a  deadly bomb explosion at a gas station that caused the death of a six year old child and injury to several other people last Sunday night.

In a brief statement, the police said that acting on information received, law enforceemnt officials travelled to the Vergenoegen sideline dam, East Bank Essequibo, where the suspect was held.

He has been named as Daniel Alexander Ramirez Peodomo.

Police had earlier announced a five million dollar (One Guy$=US$0.004 cents) reward for information leading to the arrest of the main suspect, whom the police had described as a Spanish-speaking national.
