Alexandra School closed due to flooding

Alexandra School is closed today.

The Ministry of Educational Transformation said the secondary school, located at Queen Street, Speightstown, St Peter, “remains closed due to severe flooding after the heavy rainfall experienced yesterday”.

The Barbados Meteorological Services said a surface trough, combined with instability, generated between one to eight inches of rain across Barbados over the past 12 to 24 hours.

More rain is forecast today.
