Several districts in Christ Church will be fogged next week by the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Vector Control Unit as part of ongoing mosquito reduction efforts.
Fogging begins on Monday, June 29, and will run daily from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with teams moving through multiple communities each day.
On Monday, areas scheduled include Pegwell Park, Pegwell Gardens 1 to 6, Waverley, Atkins Land, Grand View, The Abbey, Keiser Hill, Southways, Enterprise Road and surrounding districts.
On Tuesday, June 30, teams will cover Scarborough, Thornbury Hill and Tenantry areas, Gibbons Terrace, Rollins Road, Goodland Development, Goodland Gardens, Bournes Land and nearby communities.
On Wednesday, July 1, fogging will take place in Durants Road and surrounding developments, Callenders Park and Crescent, Lisbonville Road, St Christopher Tenantry Road, Breedy’s, Hopewell/Round Rock Road and environs.
On Thursday, July 2, the Unit will operate in Ealing Park, Inch Marlow, Ocean Spray Development, Chancery Lane, Parish Land, Flint Stone Drive, Cobble Stone Drive and nearby areas up to Providence.
The week’s schedule concludes on Friday, July 3, in Chancery Lane North, Wilcox, Holborn, Fairy Valley Tenantry, Thyme Bottom, Pilgrim Place and Coverley Tenantry and surrounding districts.
Fogging will be carried out between 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are advised to open windows and doors during operations, while children should not play in the spray.
The Ministry said completion of the schedule may be affected by weather or other operational challenges, and affected areas will be revisited where necessary. (BGIS)
