NCC announces temporary closure of lifeguard towers and facilities

The National Conservation Commission (NCC) is advising the public that all lifeguard towers and NCC public facilities will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, June 30, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

The closure is to facilitate a mandatory general staff meeting, the Commission said.

During this period, there will be no lifeguard surveillance or beach monitoring at NCC-managed beaches. Lifeguard services and access to NCC public facilities will resume at noon.

The NCC is urging members of the public who choose to enter the water during the closure period to exercise extreme caution, noting that no lifeguards will be on duty.

Beachgoers are also being encouraged to prioritise their safety and avoid unnecessary risks while using the beaches during the temporary interruption in service.

The Commission apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for its patience and cooperation. (BGIS)
