The daughter of missing man Ulric Carlisle Kirton is appealing to members of the public who may have seen her father.
Kirton, 68 years, of Watts Village, St George, has been missing since June 11.
He was last seen not far from home near The Estates at St George. At the time, he was wearing a black hat, a long sleeved navy blue shirt with a tan print (up close they appear to be tigers) and black pants.
Kirton, a retired educator who taught at St Cyprian’s Boys’ School, suffers from dementia and is in the habit of staying away from home for prolonged periods.
Daughter Nakita Mayers said they conducted searches with police in the immediate vicinity of the home as well as parts of St George. Her father was also known to spend time near the Granville Williams Bus Terminal at Fairchild Street, The City or across the road at Golden Square Freedom Park, where he would read the paper. They also went to Queen’s Park, where he used to watch cricket.
Searches were done in some areas of Christ Church, including Newton, Providence, Coverley, Oistins, Cox Hill and Frere Pilgrim, near Blackman & Gollop Primary School and as far as Pool, St John. Kirton lived in that parish for a time and also played cricket for a club in St John.
Mayers said although he wandered in the past, someone would bring him home.
Meanwhile, police are appealing to anyone knowing the whereabouts of Ulric Carlisle Kirton, to contact the District ‘B’ Police Station at 437-4311 or 430-7625, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or any police station. (PR/SAT)
