Twenty-four bands will take the stage when the Affinity Plus and Sandy Lane Charitable Trust Junior Kadooment takes place at the National Botanical Gardens on Saturday, July 18.
Event planner for Junior Kadooment, Stacia Bryan, of the National Cultural Foundation, revealed that the event will involve the biggest children’s after-party, with appearances from some of the Party Monarch and Soca Monarch performers.
“We have 24 bands this year and we expect some of the larger bands to really have great creativity and a lot of numbers this year – a lot of entertainment, a lot of traditional cultural characters and the stilts,” she said.
Bryan said the number of bands was a clear sign that the schools’ masquerading programme was taking effect. (JRN/TH)
