Barbados’ top draughts player Ronald “Suki” King delivered a strong performance to finish second at the Vidor Checkers USA Invitational in Texas, United States last week.
King ended the tournament on 30 points, placing behind Kenya’s Crispin Odhiambo Ojwang, who topped the field with 35 points.
South Africa’s Lubabalo Kondlo also finished on 30 points, but his Solkoff (tie-breaking) score of 289.5 left him just behind King in third.
Another Barbadian, Jack Francis finished seventh on 24 points.
