Lynette Holder appointed BRA board chair

Dr. Lynette Holder has been appointed chair of the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) Board, effective July 31, 2026.

Holder, who holds a PhD and is an accredited governance professional, is chief executive officer of the Small Business Association of Barbados.

She brings more than 35 years of business experience in Barbados and the wider region, with expertise in business administration, financial services supervision and small business development.

Holder succeeds Sandra Osborne, SCM, SC, who served as chair for the past 12 years.

The BRA said all other members of the Board will remain in place, providing continuity in the Authority’s oversight and direction.

Revenue Commissioner Jason King welcomed Holder’s appointment and highlighted her governance credentials and understanding of the business sector.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Holder as Board Chair. Her governance credentials and deep understanding of the business sector will be an asset to the Authority,” King said.

He also thanked Osborne for her service and leadership.

The management and staff of the BRA expressed appreciation to Osborne for her contribution and wished her success in her future endeavours. (PR)
