WHILE THEIR SCHOOLMATES were having fun flying kites and playing this Easter break, hundreds of Class 4 primary school students returned to their classrooms for extra lessons in mathematics, English and composition.
It was in preparation for the May 5 Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination (BSSEE). The DAILY NATION visited a number of the institutions esterday yesterday, chatting with teachers who wanted to give their charges the extra help.
The Class 3 and 4 teacher at St Mary’s Primary School, Lisa Griffith, said what she found was that her students were having difficulty with sections two and three of the mathematics past papers and that was the focus.
