The Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) is $100 000 richer. Caribbean Gaming Enterprise (CAGE) yesterday at Kensington Oval donated the six-figure cheque to the BCA’s Cricket Development Programme.

BCA president Conde Riley said the funds would fast-track the programme that will include the Centre of Excellence.

“With our new development plan, we are planning to build out the Armstrong building into an indoor facility. The drawings were done in 2005 before 2007 World Cup, but it was never developed.

“We have Town and Country Planning approval but because of the length of time that has elapsed, we will have to go back and seek their guidance and find out if we have to go back through the entire process or whether they will update it,” he said. (MK)
