West Indies captain Jason Holder and Deandra Dottin were named Player of the Year in the respective categories last night at the 7th Annual CWI/WIPA Awards at Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa in St John’s.

Holder also won Test player of the year after shooting to the top of the ICC rankings among allrounders earlier this season.

Dottin swept all categories among the women, also cleaning up in the One-Day International and T20 formats. She is the world’s top allrounder in T20 cricket, and her value to the women’s team was underscored in May when she underwent surgery and missed the tour of England and Ireland. West Indies were horribly outclassed in that series.

Shai Hope took the award for One-Day International Player of the Year and Keemo Paul in the T20 format.

Young Barbadian Joshua Bishop took the top prize for Under-19 players.
