Cosmos Football Club is now in the starting line-up. Just one week after the Barbados Football Association decided to omit the third division team from the inaugural Capelli Super Cup, BFA president Randy Harris announced that it has changed its position.

In a letter addressed to club president Steve Cumberbatch signed by Harris and dated July 10, 2019, the local governing body for football revealed that the northern club will now participate in the tournament which runs from August 18 to October 13.

“We have noted your concern and in the interest of the game we have decided to invite Cosmos which will now participate as a fifth team in one of the zones,” it stated.

It comes after Cumberbatch expressed dissatisfaction in the July 11 edition of the DAILY NATION following the BFA’s original decision to exclude his club from the competition because of clashing cricket commitments. (AGB)
