Bajans beat 9-man Vincies

Heavy showers and debut goals for Kemar Headley and Jomo Harewood cooled the “Vincy Heat” last Friday night at the National Stadium, as Barbados senior men’s football team defeated their Vincentian counterparts 3-1.

Headley and Harewood’s goals were divided by a Jamal Chandler strike which was well worked between him and younger sibling Jabarry, also known as “Papi”.

St Vincent started quite brightly and with a higher level of intensity but it was the hosts who had the first opportunity to take the lead.

Reginald Richardson brought down Jabarry Chandler inside the area and was adjudged to have denied a goal-scoring opportunity which resulted in referee Gillian Martindale giving him his marching orders in the eighth minute.
