THERE IS NO way that the Government could just put millions of dollars in the hands of the judicial manager for failed insurance company CLICO International Life.
That was the word from Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler as he responded to questions over Government’s provision of financing for the proposed new company to replace CLICO as part of the plan to salvage the company.
Sinckler slammed suggestions that the Freundel Stuart administration’s failure to come through with $30 million required to finance the new company had now led the judicial manager Deloitte Consulting Inc. to pursue a sell-off of CLICO’s assets.
