Guns scare

IT WAS A scene akin to the Wild West that left three people shot, and a trail of bullet holes and blood when the dust and smoke had settled.

That Sunday night scare, which sent terrified people running for cover, has caused residents in New Orleans to appeal for the “nonsense” to cease, and for stiffer penalties to be meted out to the criminals.

Residents say they were liming in a shed on 7th Avenue around 10 p.m., when they heard what appeared to be gunshots. They would soon see a man running towards them with two gunmen in hot pursuit from the direction of 6th Avenue.
