IN AUSTRALIA CANBERRA – Former West Indies coach Ottis Gibson has given the thumbs down to Jason Holder captaining the One-Day International team.
The usually quiet Gibson said in an interview with Sky Sports that the captaincy would “burden” Holder in addition to his view that he isn’t ready for such a responsibility.
“I think captaincy is too much for him at this point in time,” Gibson told Sky Sports World Cup.
“I know Jason and he has got the character to elevate himself to captain over time and loves taking responsibility but he has to work on his game at the moment.
