Barbados’ most decorated men’s swimmer Nicholas Neckles will be a headline act for the Central American and Caribbean Aquatic Championships (CCCAN), which open tomorrow at the Aquatic Centre. 
Neckles (right) will end a seven-year retirement from national duty to make waves with local and regional swimmers as he and Terrance Haynes take part in the Men’s 18-and-over battles seeking to qualify for the World Masters Swimming Championships in Korea.
The two will be focusing on times rather than placement.
Boys’ captain Jumar Walrond seemed excited at the prospect of leading a team containing such revered competitors, saying that rather than being overawed he saw it as an inspiration for him and the team.
