Man arrested in connection with Scotiabank robbery

POLICE HAVE ARRESTED a man in connection with last month’s robbery of Scotiabank, Black Rock, St Michael.

According to reports, a family member is also assisting lawmen with the investigation and sources indicate they have recovered over $3 000.

The January 27 robbery took place just after 10 a.m. Eyewitnesses said a very slim man, who was armed with a gun, entered the bank.

scotiabank-black-rockThe man, who was wearing a mask and gloves, asked the customers to step back, approached the tellers and told them to put money in a bag he was carrying.

He then ran out of the bank.

Police later combed the surrounding districts searching for him. (TS)
