Barbadian British F4 driver Zane Maloney is the pole sitter for today’s third race of the F4 British Championship certified by FIA and powered by Ford EcoBoost.
But the Carlin Team driver had to battle challenging wet weather conditions, which caught out several drivers but afforded them invaluable experience ahead of the final today at Croft, North Yorkshire.
Officials cancelled yesterday’s second race due to worsening weather after an attempt was made to run the reverse-grid race but was red-flagged after a single racing lap, as rain hit the 2.1-mile Yorkshire circuit again, adding to the standing water.
Maloney grabbed three wins in a row to close on the F4 British Championship lead, two points behind Louis Foster.(TT)
