Barbados can boast of having one of the top 16 young sports reporters in the world.

The Nation’s Anmar Goodridge-Boyce has been selected to provide coverage for the winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2020 as part of the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Young Reporters Programme.

The 20-year-old Boyce was thrilled to receive the news.

“I was in total disbelief when I saw the email and saw my name on the list at No. 3. This is my greatest achievement in life so far,” he said.

“I want to thank God, my family and my friends who always supported my career path as a journalist.

“I’m stoked and words can’t really explain my jubilation. My dream is to become an international sports reporter and I believe this is another step in that direction.” (KOB)
