THE “Barefoot Preacher” has walked out of the Ebenezer Manse even as his attorney was busy at the 11th hour trying to get a stay of a judge’s order.
The Rev. William St Clair had put up a legal fight to stay in the Methodist church house until June this year; but last November he was given until January 15 to vacate the property by High Court Judge William Chandler.
While St Clair has already left Barbados and is in his native United States, his wife Molly was busy yesterday moving their personal belongings out of the St Philip house which is next door to the Ebenezer Church.
St Clair was based there for over a year until his fallout with the hierarchy of the Methodist Church.
