The daunting obstacle course at last Saturday’s Barbados Ninja Throwdown floored several competitors, with only six males surviving the adult segment at Featherbed Lane, St John.

It must have been the expertise of four-time American Ninja Warrior contestant Adam Rayl of the United States that led to his conquering the course in two minutes, 3.08 seconds.

The 26-year-old, who has a gymnastics background and is also an avid rock climber, used his agility and strength to get through the course.

“For me, performance-wise, it was a little bit slower than I had anticipated, but technically [it was] how I envisioned it to be, so that’s the most you could ask for,” said the Arizona resident.
