Dowrich, Hope shine in trial

A match-winning century by Shane Dowrich and 96 by Shai Hope yesterday highlighted the third trial game as Barbados Pride continued preparation for the Nagico Super50 Championship in Trinidad with a match between Kevin Stoute’s XI and Ashley Nurse’s XI at Dayrells Road.

Dowrich’s brilliant 120 from 117 balls with 13 fours and a six helped Ashley Nurse’s XI to beat Kevin Stoute’s XI for the third straight game, this time by three wickets with three balls to spare. Nurse’s XI overhauled Stoute’s XI 280 for six by scoring 284 for seven from 49.3 overs.
