MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — India were 108 for one in reply to Australia’s first-innings 530 at stumps on the second day of the third cricket Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground today.

Murali Vijay was 55 not out with Cheteshwar Pujara unbeaten on 25 at the end of play after the Indian batsmen made a watchful start to their chase, content to leave the ball rather than risk a wicket before stumps.

Summarised scores: Australia: 530 (Steven Smith 192, Ryan Harris 74 Chris Rogers 57, Brad Haddin 55, Shane Watson 52; Mohammed Shami 4-138, Umesh Yadav 3-130).  India 108-1 (Murali Vijay 55).
