We quit!

GOVERNMENT has been hit by a bombshell, the shockwaves from which will impact the scores of retrenched workers hoping for compensation soon.

In a dramatic show of disgust, eight of the nine members of the Employment Rights Tribunal (ERT), including its chairperson Traece Codrington, have resigned with “immediate effect”.

Their resignations were sent to Minister of Labour Senator Dr Esther Byer Suckoo in a letter on December 5 which they all signed.

The only dissenting member was attorney Omari Drakes.
