Once again the issue of domestic violence has flared, following an attack on a female. It occurs to me that the only time violence becomes a concern is each time a female is attacked.
However, the question of domestic violence and violence in general would cease when as a people we embrace God’s standards of love and respect for each other. We have rejected the wisdom of God. Hence those social values and morals that make us unique human beings are replaced by violence, hatred and division.
We treat people as mere sexual objects. This is a precursor to the violence.
While social agencies grapple with the seriousness of domestic violence and its cause, attention is not focused on how the educational system can correct the root cause of the social ills besetting our nation.
Emphasis is not being placed on the acquisition of social values and sound morals.
The emotional outburst and hostile reaction in response to domestic violence will not address the root cause and this menace, and violence will continue and get worse.
Until we submit to God and embrace His standards as a way of life, the social ills confronting us will get worse.
The Bible declares there is a way that seems right to man, but the end is death afterward.
