The task force set up to probe the premature abandonment of the tour of India by the West Indies One-Day cricket team in October has overstepped the crease and bowled an illegal delivery.
That’s the view of Queen’s Counsel and legal representative Ralph Thorne for the majority of those striking West Indies cricketers.
On Sunday, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) circulated the report and recommendations of the task force, headed by Michael Gordon QC and including prominent Barbadians Sir Wesley Hall and Sir Richard Cheltenham QC.
But Thorne said he believed the task force had gone beyond the boundary with a hasty investigation and report that was completed in about a month’s time.
