THE BAN ON cell phones in schools is outdated.
This is the view of principal of the St Leonard’s Boys’ School Joseph King who said a new communication policy must be considered; one that looks at the positive impact of these devices on students’ education.
He was speaking at the school’s speech day and prize giving ceremony today.
King called on the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Ronald Jones to consider that the current cell phone policy in schools had served its purpose but is now outdated.
“Cell phones as they were then when this policy was developed are now a thing of the past,” he said. (LK)
