St Philip Carnival growing

The St Philip Carnival is moving on up like the Jeffersons of television fame. 

Revellers had an option of a VIP truck and were treated to a touch of class with special menus and soft couches as the 2014 carnival climaxed in a mass of bodies at King George V Memorial Park yesterday.

And Michael Lashley, Member of Parliament for St Philip North, one of the more high-profiled organisers of the event, is promising bigger and better things next year.

Although there were reports of a few skirmishes, Lashley was satisfied that things went well.
