Cadogan first with CAC medal

Nineteen-year-old speedster Levi Cadogan finally turned Barbados’ CAC frown upside down yesterday, becoming the toast of  our track and field programme in the city of Veracruz, by winning a silver in the men’s 100 metres event.

After a week of bad news, his performance finally produced some silverware from the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in Mexico.

This was almost too close to call.

Cadogan dipped at the line in a speedy 10.27 seconds, finishing in a technical dead heat with Rolando Palacios of Honduras.
