Visitors plead guilty to drug charges

Two Canadian visitors pleaded guilty to drug charges when they appeared in court today.

Jaydon Vincent Prince-Gales, 21 years, of #97 Olde Town Road, Brampton Ontario, Canada and Valeria Dodon, 18, of #45 Lisgar Street, Toronto, Ontario, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

Prince-Gales was remanded into custody to HMP Dodds pending sentencing and is scheduled to return to the District ‘B’ Court on May 7.

Dodon was fined $34 000 forthwith with the alternative of two years in prison for trafficking. She was also given a conviction, reprimand and discharge for the possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply and the importation of cannabis charges.

The fine was not paid and she is currently serving the alternative of two years in prison.

Prince-Gales and Dodon appeared before Magistrate Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell at the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court.  (PR/SAT)
