Back to court next year

TWO PEOPLE ARE SCHEDULED to reappear in court in January in relation to the seizure of more than 50 marijuana plants in Christ Church.

They are Andre Antonio Jackman, 33, of Pitchard Hill, St Patricks, Christ Church and 31-year-old Cassita Claudia Williams of Greenfields, Roebuck, St Michael.

The pair was arrested and charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and cultivation of 58 cannabis plants.

On Monday, the Drug Squad conducted an exercise at Hopefield, Christ Church and cannabis plants were discovered.

Jackman and Williams appeared before Magistrate Wanda Blair at the District B Magistrate’s Court yesterday and pleaded guilty.

They were each granted bail to the sum of $8 000. A pre-sentencing report will be prepared prior to their returning to court on January 8, 2015. (PR/SAT)
