Since the Culinary Arts are set to take centre stage this year, the National Cultural Foundation is building some hype with a light friendly competition among some ‘NIFCA Chefs’.
This includes people who have previously entered and were awarded in the National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA) Culinary Arts competition, or have either worked as judges or consultants to the competition.
The NIFCA Chefs promotion is set to take place at Massy Stores SuperCentre Warrens tomorrow.
To encourage public interaction, there will be a People’s Choice element with a prize offered for the favourite dish voted by shoppers.
There will also be a light-hearted Battle of the Menus. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. you can watch these chefs create culinary delights as well as sample and vote for your favourite dish.
One of the entrants in the Mixologists’ competition will be on hand to quench your thirst with his signature drink. (NS)
