THE NEW FACILITIES for the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC) Barbados are now officially open.

Minister of Education Ronald Jones delivered the keynote address and cut the ribbon at the Alphonso House corner of 1st and 2nd Avenue, George Street, Belleville, St Michael earlier today.

The local campus, which was formerly located at the Seventh Day Adventists offices in Dalkeith, is one of six sites operated by the Trinidad-based institution in the region and currently has a roll of 36 students. The flagship programme is Elementary Education. Students can also opt to take courses online, which is one of the newer developments of the USC. (YB)
