THE NATIONAL UNION of Public Workers today announced plans to help primary school students and school leavers advance their education.

The union’s general secretary Dennis Clarke said one programme would provide lessons to prepare primary school students for the 11-Plus. The other will help youths who leave school with few or no certificates.

The programmes were announced at a ceremony during which the Insurance Corporation of Barbados Limited handed over a cheque to help finance the venture involving the primary school students. (TY)
