THE TOTS AT St Stephen’s Nursery School dressed up as their favourite characters from nursery rhymes and books today as the school hosted Character Day.

It was part of Literacy Week activities.

Teacher and organiser Toniann Alexander said the focus during the week was on nursery rhymes because this type of writing opened up the critical thinking skills of young children. (LK)
