Trio charged in connection with drug seizure

Police of the Northern Division, yesterday executed a search warrant at the residence of 44-year-old Anderson Dennis Goodman of Greenwich Village, St James.

During the search, two other people were found at the house where in addition to the individuals, a quantity of cannabis was also found.

Three camouflage jackets, three camouflage pants, two camouflage pillowcases and two camouflage hats were also found at the residence.

As a result of these discoveries, the police arrested and charged three men.

Anderson Dennis Goodman was charged with possession of cannabis, intent to supply cannabis, trafficking of cannabis, and possession of camouflage.

Joseph Rommel Gooding, 36, of #6 Trents Tenantry, St James, was charged with possession of cannabis, intent to supply cannabis, and trafficking of cannabis.

Adrian Antonio Blackett, 35, of Endeavour #3, Orange Hill, St James, was charged with possession of cannabis, and possession of camouflage.

The total weight of cannabis found in the house was 538 grams with a street value of BDS$2 690.

All three men are scheduled to appear today at the Holetown Magistrates Court.

An additional search of a nearby gully behind the residence, with tracks from the residence led to two separate areas, uncovered a total of 1 074 marijuana plants ranging in size from seedlings to five feet tall, growing in the area.

These plants seized, however no one was charged in connection with this discovery. The weight of the cultivated marijuana was 87 pounds, with a street value of BDS$174 000.

The combined weight of cannabis found in both the house and the gully was 87.538 pounds, with an estimated street value of BDS$176 690. (PR)
