HEALTH CARE at the Winston Scott Polyclinic has been enhanced as a result of a piece of medical equipment donated to that institution by Sandstorm Gold Bank Ltd this afternoon.

The equipment, a Welch-Allyn autoscope, will be used in the diagnosis of ear and eye challenges, making it easier to prescribe the correct treatment.

“It is part of overall corporate social responsibility programme and it allows us to give the [suitable] tools that are necessary to the polyclinic,” said Brian Robinson vice-president of Sandstorm Gold Bank Limited an international business company.

Anne Murrell, chief public health nurse, expressed thanks to Sandstorm and noted that early diagnosis means timely treatment that can save lives.

“We look forward to other polyclinics having this service as well,” said Murrell. (JS)
