Call him the Big H.

H for Haydn and now hometown hero.

Barbados’ No. 2 delivered one top-notch performance, as southpaw tennis player Haydn Lewis led the unlikeliest of comebacks to put this country’s Davis Cup team in Group I for the first time in the squad’s 24-year history.

With the Group II final on the line, Lewis couldn’t have come any better, fighting back from a set down to beat Mexican teen Lucas Gomez 2-6, 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 and seal a 3-2 series triumph.

And his teammates and fans let him know just how big the moment was, swarming their champion on the ground to celebrate the biggest moment in local tennis history.
