DARIAN KING looks ready for Mexico now.
The King is back in fine form, having coasted to an F11 Futures singles tennis title in Romania by failing to drop a single set in the main draw.
Ranked No.458 in the world, King capped his latest title after dispatching Filip Horansky of Slovakia 7-6(8), 6-0 in yesterday’s final.
This was following similar straight-sets wins over Ciprian Alexandru, Alexander Cozbinov, Vlad Victor Cornea and Dragos Dima where the top seed hardly seemed extended.
It served as the much-needed warm-up ahead of Barbados’ big Group II Davis Cup final against Mexico here at home next month. King is slated to travel to Holland for another Futures event. (JM)
