THERE ARE NO cases of Ebola in Barbados and the possibility of infection is low, says Minister of Health John Boyce.
Speaking at a press conference at his Culloden Road offices this morning, Boyce said unless people travel to the affected areas in West Africa, it is unlikely they would contract the virus.
He assured that Barbados has a sound public health system with staff trained in infection control measures necessary to contain any cases of infectious diseases, such as Ebola.
The minister promised that he will keep Barbadians up to date with this possible health threat. (SP)
