Sign in disrepair

COINCIDENCE OR vandalism?
This question springs to mind looking at the stone sign for the Westbury Primary School.
At first glance, it seems like “school” is mispelled but upon closer inspection, it appears a piece of the second “O” has fallen off, making it look exactly like an “L”. In addition, the “8” in “1985” is also damaged.
Whether it is an unfortunate coincidence or somebody’s idea of a joke, hopefully the issue will be rectified for the upcoming school year. (CA)
