WEST?TERRACE?stamped their dominance in track and field earlier this year.
Now they’re threatening to do the same in netball.
Led by their imposing goal shooter Xhane Greenidge, the reigning athletics champions recorded two wins when action in the National Sports Council’s Pine Hill Dairy Primary Schools’ Netball Competition continued at the Netball Stadium and the Police Girls’ Club courts yesterday.
Greenidge scored 12 of her 14 attempts and Leilani Haddock hit two of three to lead West Terrace to a 14-2 drubbing of Vauxhall Primary.
Greenidge then returned to net all six of her team’s goals as they defeated Sharon Primary 6-3 in their second match to keep their unbeaten streak intact.
Blackman And Gollop Primary also performed impressively, convincingly winning both of their games.
In their first game they blanked St Bartholomew’s Primary 15-0, thanks to Chelsea Niles’ 12 goals from 16 shots. Janaye Moseley chipped in with three of six attempts.
They then returned to dismiss Christ Church Girls’ 9-0, with Niles (five of nine) and Moseley (four of six) once more leading the way.
There was also a 5-0 win for Bay Primary over St Gabriel’s School, while St Stephen’s Primary and Good Shepherd Primary battled to a 3-3 draw. (RB)
