SOME OLD BOYS from Coleridge & Parry School are getting together to keep the significance of the good times at the fore.
A motley crew from the classes of 1963 and 1964, which includes top civil servants, business people, a principal and a retired senior education official, met at The Captain’s Annex in Portvale Sugar Factory, St James for the first of what they hope will be many limes.
Spearheaded by former parliamentarian Rawle Eastmond and Waide Bascombe, the get-togethers are not only intended for participants to reminisce about the good old times and imbibe food and drink, but also to acknowledge an outstanding person from among them with a citation.
The first person honoured was retired banker and public servant Horace Burgess. (YB)
