Fun on the run

Thirty-two hundred people registered for the Chefette Fun Run which took place yesterday.
The annual run, which is in support of the Auntie Olga Needy Children’s Fund, started at Chefette Rockley, Christ Church around 4 p.m. and ended at Chefette Fontabelle, St Michael.
Families, groups from schools and organisations turned out to support the worthy cause.
Managing director of Chefette Restaurants Ryan Haloute, commercial director of Digicel Alex Tasker, executive vice-president of the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association Sue Springer, group financial controller of the Nation Corporation Noel Wood, rally driver Sean Gill and entertainer Kirk Browne were among the public figures who participated.
The activities commenced around 3:30 p.m. with a warm-up session by Evy Bentham and his workout team.
At Chefette Fontabelle, the pogramme included a children’s zone, and an area for teens.
All of the funds from the run will go to support more than 130 needy families.
