An accident between a car and a ZR route taxi along Fontabelle Road, St Michael, left a number of people injured yesterday morning.
Harvinder Walton of Bloomsbury, St Thomas, who was in the car, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with injuries to her neck, chest and head. Her husband Leroy Walton, also in the car, complained of pain in his neck.
ZR passenger Shelly-Ann Pollard of Long Gap, Spooners Hill, St Michael, received injuries to her face, while 80-year-old Cordelia Benskin of Birds River, Deacons Road, St Micheal, received a bump to her head and one to her feet.
They were examined at the scene by ambulance personnel and taken to the QEH by one of the two ambulances that quickly responded to the accident scene. (RL)
