Barbados Port Inc. (BPI) is maintaining its commitment to the care of this nation’s elderly.

This week, a BPI team led by Chief Executive Officer, David Jean-Marie, visited the St Michael Geriatric Hospital to present a gift of much-needed equipment.

The equipment, valued at approximately $10 000, comprised of ten drip stands and ten bath chairs, and was received by Manager Ag. of the hospital, Heather Payne-Drakes.

In expressing thanks to Jean-Marie for his company’s continued support over the years, she said the bath chairs will be used with immobile patients while the drip stands will be used with those patients who are dependent on critical care medical needs.

Jean-Marie noted that BPI is extremely proud to be able to make the donation to the Geriatric Hospital and said: “We will continue to support the Hospital in any way we can.” (PR)
