What a night it was for patrons who packed the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre for yet another special tribute to mothers last Sunday!
There was high-class entertainment as several singers paid tribute  to 11 mothers, one from each parish.
Talented St James Secondary School student Chad Montplaisir sang You Raise Me Up.
The versatile John King did justice to his two selections – It’s Not Unusual and Twist The Night Away.
It was during Twist The Night Away that he encouraged people to “dance the night away” and the special mothers enjoyed themselves.
Adrian Clarke delivered the well received She’s My Mother as his tribute.
Queen of song Carlyn Leacock thrilled the gathering with You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman. She said that Jesus could – and would – make all mothers feel “whole” again.
Other performers included the Israel Lovell Dancers, Jane Small, Biggie Irie, Mac Fingall, Jamal Slocombe, Act Now Generation, New Horizon Senior Models and producer of the show, Desmond Weekes.
KB Kleen was the MC. (RL)
