IT’S LISTED simply as a market, but there you can pick up tools and animal feed, sip a beer, order a meal and have your hair worked on.
However, it seems that not a lot of people know about the offerings at the Six Roads, St Philip Public Market beyond the fruit and vegetables and meat.
A community fair and lime held there last Saturday was meant to address the problem.
Organizer Neil Marshall said: “I was of the opinion that the market was not seeing the type of economic flow-through it should be getting, even though St Philip represents one of the fastest growing parishes in Barbados and the market is in proximity to three major housing developments.
