THOUGH?Almond Beach Village will be closing to guests on Monday, staff are no closer to knowing when they will be getting their severance packages.
Added to that, they have to be on the job at the St Peter resort every day from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. – until they hear a final word from management.
These latest developments came out of an emergency staff meeting at Almond Beach Village yesterday evening, at which Monty Cumberbatch, the man appointed to lead the Almond chain when Ralph Taylor’s resignation takes effect at monthend, updated the 500 staffers.
He also reported on the meeting held in the morning at Solidarity House with management, workers’ representatives and members of the Social Partnership.
